Last week I was nominated (nominated myself) in a contest via Circle of Moms. They’re conducting a search for the top 25 Dad bloggers.
The way I see it, you’ve got a choice. You can ignore the laughs I’ve provided over the last 8 months, I can feed my kid a bunch of chocolate and send her your way.
If door #1 isn’t to your liking and you want to help an unemployed stay-at-home dad fetch an accolade which will boost his self-esteem, give him some bragging rights and gain him some exposure, I can send this little petunia your way. A well-behaved princess who loves to sit quietly and watch Yo Gabba Gabba while reading dvd inserts.
There’s no obligation involved in voting. No pesky pop-ups asking for your email address, social security number or cup size, just CLICK HERE AND VOTE. I implore you to retweet this, share with your Facebook friends or write to your pen pal. I’ve also added a badge to my home page, same thing, just click and vote. I would hate for you to feel guilty about pushing us to the streets, forcing me to show my daughter how to panhandle at freeway off-ramps with a paper cup.
This contest runs until April 5th and you can vote once a day. I sincerely appreciate the support and promise to keep delivering some great stuff!

You picked up 3000 votes in our sleep! Way to go babe!! Mega thanks to all our friends who are RT’ing (and to everyone we obviously don’t know!!). xo

I don’t know what happened with the whole bots and voting thing, but I’m still voting for you (and yes, I know you’re the competition and all, but you’re stuff is good).
Best of luck, but please don’t pass me.

I can somewhat relate to your “unexpected” stay home dad situation. The fact that you are doing what you are is pretty cool.
You got my vote!
We had our “unexpected” third daughter, which led me to searching the internet to find an income solution. In short, I started a blog years ago and sat on it.
Having found the top 25 dad bloggers list, I am inspired to connect with other men who are doing what I am doing – being a stay at home dad – but using their blogs to share their experience.
Thanks for the sense of humor in your post… If I take yours, then you need take my three!

There isn’t gonna be a “Top Dad Tweeter” contest, is there? i might crack the top 1,000 on that one.
All joking aside — I love the blog, love the tips on parenting. Contests suck. Keep up the good work.
