Come in and talk to, play cards with, or even watch TV with a resident in a nursing home. Share your interests with a wide range of those in need.
You could help multiple people feel hope and joy in their day-to-day life simply by being in the moment with them and giving them the gift of your time.
Hours are flexible and determined by the volunteer's availability. If you have the ability to serve even a few hours a week, that can change somebody else's outlook on life, not to mention the positive effect it will have on you as well.
