12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description

The Pediatric Critical Care Float Nurse will provide care to patients in various children's units, including potential 1:1 sitter responsibilities. The nurse will float between surgical and medicine overflow service lines as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to pediatric patients in critical condition.


• Float to different units as required by patient needs.


• Provide 1:1 patient sitter care when necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3 years of nursing experience in Level 1 Trauma centers preferred.


• Experience with home ventilators is needed.


• PALS and BLS certifications required.


• Familiarity with Cerner charting is preferred.


• Fingerprinting required for employment.
