Job Description
Junior or mid-level attorney needed to handle divorce and family cases. We are a small but growing law office, with a managing attorney, one paralegal, one legal secretary. This is a woman-owned business with a collegial environment. We are very entrepreneurial and activist-minded. We want to make a difference with our work.
We are focused on women's issues in family and divorce matters, with particular specialization in DV, IPV, abuse, trauma, racial bias, and ADA accommodations. We also handle immigration and other types of cases that involve these issues, in addition to human trafficking and LGBTQ+ rights. You must have an interest in at least some of these issues.
This would be a great fit for an attorney with a background in public interest law or experience working for a non-profit that handles issues mentioned above.
Court appearances (virtual and in-person) will be required. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your litigation skills and get court experience. Must be a self-starter with the ability to take ownership of cases and run with them. Good courtroom demeanor required.
$100k to start, with performance-based bonus.
Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.
