Department Talent Acquisition Consultant - locally remote

If you are seeking an opportunity to be part of a knowledgeable, passionate, and fun team, then this career opportunity is for you. In collaborative partnership with amazing county leadership and HR professionals, the Department Talent Acquisition Consultant serves as a talent acquisition expert and business partner, advising on and carrying out strategic recruiting and marketing initiatives to fill critical medical and human service positions throughout our Health and Human Services Department.

The day-to-day:

  • Embody the “Wake is Great” mindset to support the integration of Wake County Government as an employer of choice 
  • Build talent pipelines via various sourcing methods and research new and innovative opportunities to recruit the best and brightest to join #TeamWake
  • Partner with hiring managers and use our applicant tracking system to revise and post job vacancies; create or edit applicant screening questions; monitor and maintain position open and close dates; review resumes and refer applicants; review and approve hiring requests
  • Understand and integrate relevant compliance requirements and laws to reduce risks for departments and Wake County
  • Share knowledge through training and partnership

The Basics (Required Education and Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field
  • Two years of experience in human resources administration
  • Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)

  • Experience with various applicant tracking systems
  • Experience sourcing and creating quality applicant pipelines for a variety of job titles within the medical or human services field
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in talent acquisition, position marketing and candidate sourcing
  • Because we know the ideal candidate may break the mold, equivalent education or experience is accepted
