Assistant Golf Professional
Country Club in Dubuque, Iowa is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.
Position Overview:
• Continue Country Club reputation of providing consistently high customer service to the members and their guests.
• Coordinate, promote and run a variety of member and outside golf events from start to finish.
• Management of Golf Shop/Golf Lodge Staff, and Outside Service Staff including scheduling, training and supervision of day-to-day duties.
• Assist in golf shop merchandising, including buying, receiving of inventory, display, and selling of merchandise.
• Ability to teach in a private lesson setting.
• Assist in running of player development programs such as Women’s Golf Clinics, PGA Jr. League, and Junior Golf Programs.
• Lead/Assist in club fitting days and fit members for new equipment throughout the season.
• Experience with ForeTees, Golf Genius, and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Understand and enforce club rules and regulations as well as golf operation policies.
• Encouraged to play and practice with members when available. It is a goal for each staff member to play at least once a week with a variety of members.
Requirements
The ideal candidate must be a motivated PGA Member/Associate focused on Professional Development and Career Advancement. Must possess a playing ability that upholds a professional standard and have the desire to advance their instructional acumen. Capable of executing various tasks utilizing club technology including Microsoft Office, Golf Genius, and Trackman. Can interact with a variety of demographics regardless of age, gender, religious views, or socioeconomic background.
Compensation
$18.00 per hour.
Potential Year-End Performance Bonus.
