A big Texas thanks (from Virginia) to everyone that read my last post about Charlie and I taking an adventure to the great city of San Antonio on behalf of our friends at H2 Suites by Hilton. I finally had a chance to sit down and take a look at the video that I shot (or lack thereof) while on our trip. At first, I was embarrassed that I wasn’t able to get more, but then I sat down and began to recant that June trip in my head.
I sometimes tend to think my son is older than he is. I expect him to understand things like he can’t cross the street without holding hands, needs to NEVER touch the toilet seat in ANY bathroom or approach strangers when he’s in an unfamiliar place – but these are things that take reminding. This is all part of growing up.
When you’re in the thick of it, you sometimes forget how pure, innocent, loving and genuinely good-hearted these little munchkins are.
Even with Ava only being a little over a year older, I didn’t necessarily have to constantly keep my head on a swivel in Chicago, wondering what crazy thing she might do next – lol.
With Charlie, he’s my wild card right now. He thinks he’s invincible and doesn’t always understand the complications or consequences of his actions – he just wants to have fun at any cost.
He and I had an incredible time together on this weekend trip and they’re memories that we’ll both never forget, but I didn’t always have an extra hand to capture the moments. Here’s a little glimpse of our trip, hope you enjoy it – San Antonio is an incredible city with a ton of southern heritage and intriguing history!
